Ok, so here's my deal. My Financial Aid for this year has been allocated as: $21,877.00
Which is a rather hefty amount. The only problem?
Attendence Cost = $26,877.00
Yeah, I'm still $5k short. So what am I going to do? I don't know yet. I'm going to show up at Baylor and go to classes. If they ask me how I'm going to pay, I'll smile and shrug and then go hang myself or something. I dunno. I'm kinda lost here. I seem to have gone down every single fucking avenue but I'm still $5,000.00 short. I've taken out loans, begged for my scholarships back on probationary basis, everything. You would think a school as big and rich as Baylor would be able to pull an extra $5,000 out of its ass or something, but apparently not. So much for Christian ideals and wanting to help people. The only thing Baylor University cares about is money. They don't care about their students, they don't care about the community. All they care about is money and how much of it they can get.
My Take on Baylor's Religion:
To hell with God and Jesus, Baylor worships the almighty Dollar. All hail the mighty green-backed lord who will raise Baylor from the masses and set it on high. All hail George Washington (or at least that nice photograph we all seem to carry around). Or hell, fuck Washington and lets worship Benjamin Franklin. He's infinitely more valuable in Baylor's eyes. Easily worth the weight of a hundred Washingtons. Hail Benjamin Franklin, God of Baylor University!
What? You need money? You're a poor, but hard-working student? You've worked your ass off for four years and just want to graduate but can't afford the outrageous cost of attendence? HAH! Don't you wish YOU were Baylor University? Hell, we've got so much money we don't know what to do with it. Wait, I know! Let's build some more buildings! Oh, you needed money, right? Sorry, we just spent it on 3 new residence halls and the mother of all science buildings. TAKE THAT IVEY LEAGUE SCHOOLS! What? We're still not a Tier I school? Don't worry, we'll just take out some loans and build more shit. What's that you say? About our students? What students? .. OH! /THOSE/ students. Well, we've decided that if a student can't pay the outrageous fees and costs of our University that they obviously are not the type of student we want at our prestigious institution. To think that someone whose family has a bankroll under $2.5 million would ever dream of going to Baylor. That's almost laughable. Send them on to the Community Colleges where they belong. I think McClennan is still accepting students. Maybe they can get a degree in auto-repair or something.
